Oakland’s Chinatown Throwing a Night Market Saturday, On Heels of Successful SF Night Markets
San Francisco has used a series of night markets to try to rejuvenate a lackluster downtown scene. SF’s Chinatown Night Market has tried to do the same in that neighborhood, while last weekend’s Sunset Night Market drew an estimated crowd of 20,000. Now Oakland’s Chinatown, which has had a rough couple of years, is looking for some of that same revitalization magic, as NBC Bay Area reports there will be an Oakland Chinatown Night Market this Saturday night (5-9 pm).

Get Ready for the 37th Downtown Alameda Art & Wine Faire
The 37th Downtown Alameda Art & Wine Faire is the city’s largest outdoor summer street festival, with more than 200 art and craft vendors, festival food, craft beer and wine, live music on three stages, and interactive kids’ areas with games and carnival rides. It all happens on Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day—and admission is free.
