Alameda Brewing Celebrates Anniversary with ‘10-Year Festival’
It’s been a good year for Alameda Brewing—and perfect timing to celebrate being in business for a decade. Ten months ago, they renamed and refreshed their brand.

With new brewmaster Justin Green producing one of the best lagers in town, “Let it Lager,” the brewers reached way back into beer history to produce Burma Ale. The brew is a griot, or tea beer, a style so ancient it predates the use of hops. That adventurous turn produced a silver medal at this year’s World Beer Cup in May.
The brewery then capped that off with a “Crushie,” presented by Craft Beverage Marketing Awards in June. So, as one might imagine, the folks at 1716 Park Street are in a festive mood for their 10-year anniversary. The timing couldn’t be better.
Alameda Brewing got their start in 2015. To celebrate their first decade, they’re throwing a three-day 10-Year Festival at 1716 Park Street, starting Friday, July 11 at noon. There will be live music by local musicians, food trucks, vendors, and games, including Mega Beer Pong and your chance to take out your frustrations with some serious bottle-tossing.
The festival includes a special VIP Hour, when guests can be the first to try the new bright and tangy Pomegranate Sour, named Krystal Vision. Brewmaster Green will lead a brewery tour, and guests (21 and older) can purchase a VIP package to receive a ticket to the new beer tasting and a VIP goodie bag.
Local surf rock bands Surf Monster and the Gnarlymen will perform on the festival’s main stage, alongside other local musicians.

There will also be two new collaboration beers for the 10-year anniversary, a West Coast IPA with Danville Brewing Company and a Hazy IPA with Santa Rosa’s Fogbelt Brewing Company.
Alameda Brewing’s 10-Year Festival starts Friday and runs all weekend, from noon until 10 p.m. each day, with the special VIP hour getting underway Friday night at 7 p.m. See the complete event lineup online. Later this month, look for Alameda Brewing at the Downtown Alameda Art and Wine Faire.
